Last year, after finish the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, our comrade Des Revol (@des.tattooart) took us to a magical trip to the North Texas Wildlife Center.

The NTXWC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of local injured or orphaned wildlife. Established in 2013 as Dallas Wildlife Center (DWC), they quickly expanded to a much larger area. They support 3 separate but interwoven communities; local injured or orphaned wildlife, the public trying desperately to find help for the animals, and other rehabbers who need help with both time and resources.

As if the presmises and helping +2000 critters in 2023 wasn't impressive enough, we were lucky to help out and even got send off with a backpack full of possums. Ready to be released back into the wild. A magical end to an already magical trip and an insuurance that good folks are still out there.
